Dr. Chesir is a graduate of Yeshiva University, where he received a B.A. degree in Biology, and New York University School of Medicine, where he received his M.D. degree in 1982.
Dr. Chesir continued his post-graduate education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he completed an internship and residency in general pediatrics. Subsequently, he completed a one year fellowship in Pediatric Lung Disorders and Intensive Care at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Camden, New Jersey.
Dr. Chesir is Board Certified in Pediatrics, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Medical Society of the County of Rockland. He is an Attending Physician at Good Samaritan Hospital, as well as Nyack Hospital. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the New York Medical College.
